Ventoy: one USB drive for all your installers

Stop carrying one flash drive per operating system.

A USB drive connected to several installation discs.

If you work in support, you’ve probably carried several USB drives, each with a different installer. Ventoy fixes that: you install it once on the drive and then just copy ISO files. When you boot from the drive, a menu lets you pick which one to start.

In my test I used a 64 GB drive with ten ISO images, including Windows 10 and 11, Ubuntu, Fedora and Kali Linux. All of them booted and installed without issues.

How to set it up

  1. Download Ventoy from its official site, ventoy.net.
  2. Run Ventoy2Disk and select your drive. Everything on it will be erased, so back it up first.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Copy your ISO files to the drive like any other file.
  5. Boot the computer from the USB drive using the boot menu (usually F12, F11 or Esc, depending on the manufacturer).

Tips

  • If the computer uses Secure Boot, Ventoy may ask you to enroll its key the first time; follow the on-screen steps.
  • Download ISOs only from official sources and verify their checksums.
  • Adding or removing a system is as simple as copying or deleting the ISO file.

One drive, every installer: don’t leave without it.
